Senior Accountant

A PREMIERE STATE-OF-THE-ART AUTO BODY SHOP located in the Ottawa-West (Nepean) area in recruiting for a Senior Accountant. This position reports directly to the Owner/Manager, and requires the successful candidate to manage the day-to-day accounting records and functions of the company including:
• Full-cycle accounting functions: general ledger; accounts payable and receivable; payroll; internal controls efficiencies and effectiveness.
• Supervision of and guidance to staff.

Requisite skills include:
• Strong knowledge of Simply Accounting software (used in conjunction with in-house proprietary software).
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking.
• Knowledge of rental properties.
• University degree or college diploma in Business Admin or Commerce and Accounting/Financial.
• 5+ years related experience.
• Completion of, or advance studies in, a recognized professional accounting program is a definite asset.
