December Breakfast Seminar

Very exciting seminar presented to you in collaboration with the Laurentian Bank coming up next month: An Economic Outlook for 2013.
Following the 2008 recession, the economy has not been picking up quite as fast as some optimists had hoped. The US market is still limping and the European economy continues to struggle. Canada is relatively stable, but what will be the impact of these crises on Canada, as outside economies continue to battle the occurrence of a new recession?

Join us for our free breakfast seminar, and our presenter Carlos Leitao, Chief economist and chief strategist at the Laurentian Bank Securities will gladly discuss what we can look up to for the upcoming year.

Back on Blogger! :)

Hello dearest readers,

It's exciting to be back! Logan Katz is finally back on the Blogger grid, after months of primary focus on our busy work schedule and our continuous interaction with the Ottawa community.

Here's what we've been up to in a snapshot:

  • Logan Katz is currently participating in the Stache for Ca$h initiative to raise funds for men's cancers. Visit our website for more information, or simply go to Stache for Ca$h to support team Logan Katz. You can also view the progress of our mustacheers here.
  • For the holiday season, Logan Katz is also collecting non-perishables for the Ottawa Food Bank. All are encouraged to join us in this great cause.
  • Over the course of the summer and fall seasons, we had the privilege of golfing at different tournaments, to raise funds for various causes dear to our hearts. In September for example, we golfed for the AISO, an organization that strives to encourage the integration and autonomy of intellectually disabled francophone young adults in the Ottawa community.
  • This fall also marked the resumption of our breakfast seminar series. Our October seminar "2 Years Less a Day: The Countdown to the New Not-for-Profit Law and the NPO Accounting Standards: What You Need to Know" was a success! We had a fantastic time of intellectual interaction and social networking. We hope to see you at our November seminar November 13, 2012.

Pics and comments on our fun summer can be viewed on our Facebook and Twitter accounts.
We hope your summer was great, and just as wholesome as ours was!

Bon Appetit Ottawa

Nothing excites us more than participating in social events with great food, interesting individuals and a state-of-the-art venue. Except, of course, if we are doing all of the above while giving back to our community.

Bon Appetit Ottawa is an annual event that supports local charities that work towards hunger and poverty relief in the National Capital Region, with an emphasis on children and the elderly, which Logan Katz LLP is more than delighted to sponsor.

The event will take place May 1 at the new Capital Exhibition Centre located near the Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport. The food and wine show will host over 2000 individuals serving up gourmet culinary creations and spirits to match.

We look forward to seeing you there!
